Volleyball Ball

The volleyball ball was developed specifically for the game of volleyball when it was developed in 1900. Volleyball balls are to be made of leather or synthetic leather. A volleyball ball is round and 65-67 cm in circumference. Its weight is 260-280g. It’s inside pressure should be 0.30 to 0.325 kg/cm2. You may realize that the best ball could be different depending on whether you are playing indoor volleyball or beach volleyball, and ask, "What is the best outdoor volleyball ball?" Well, based on sand and salt, experts usually agree that the best outdoor volleyball ball is actually the synthetic volleyball ball, but volleyball ball info can actually be found online and in the rules and regulations manuals as well.

Volleyballs are constructed of leather or synthetic leather and inflated with compressed air. The rules and specifications for volleyball have evolved with the game. By the year 1916, the set and spike had been introduced, and four years after that, a "three hits" rule and back row hitting guidelines were established. Initially the game as for 21 points, but in 1917 that was changed to 15 points. When the American Expeditionary Forces gave away volleyballs to the troops and allies in the war, volleyball began to be seen in places all over the world instead of just in the United States of America, and the game continues to grow today.

Each team in volleyball has six players. To begin the game a coin is tossed to determine which team will serve. A player from the serving team (the server) throws the ball into the air and hits the ball over the net so that it will land in the opposing team's court. The opposing team must use a combination of no more than three contacts (usually with the hands, but theoretically with any part of the body as long as it is a forward motion) with the volleyball to send the ball back to the opponent's side of the net. These contacts usually begin with the bump or pass, so that the ball's travel is aimed towards the player designated as the setter. This is usually accomplished by an over-hand pass using wrists to push the ball with finger-tips, by the setter, so that the ball is aimed towards a spot where one of the players who has been designated as the attacker can hit it, and third by the attacker who spikes (jumping, raising one arm above the head and hitting the ball so it will move quickly down to the ground on the opponent's court) to send the ball back over the net. The team with possession of the ball that is trying to attack the ball is on offense.
